Wild Ocean, 2-18-09
"When in his presence today it truly felt like a love affair during worship. Jesus gave me a vision of a huge, vast ocean...to big to comprehend. I was amazed at how vast the ocean was and then he spoke to me (This is my love for you). I couldn't respond I just thought, WOW! The ocean then started becoming violent, with many waves and Jesud spoke (My love for you can be wild) then the ocean calmed and stilled to death and then Jesus spoke (or my love for you can be stagnant, You choose) I responded with (How can I receive this love?) There was no response for awhile and then just a faint (Love me) from Jesus."
I remember the night before he led me to Ephesians and I found two things that clearly stuck out to me and touched my spirit. After reading those two verses I wrote them down and put them in my heart and prayed them.
Ephesians 3:12 "In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him"
Ephesians 3:16-20 "That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,"
These touched my heart, verse 12 saying in other words because of what Christ did for us we can now journey and venture into God's presence boldly and confidently. Verses 16-20, I love because it talked about now that Christ is dwelling in our hearts that we have access to know and comprehend by his spirit how high, how deep, how wide, and how long his love is for us. I got a taste of how big his love was for me and he represented it in the form of an ocean so huge....I mean this thing was massive. Just think that was his love just for one child. How big is the ocean of love he has for all those he has saved!? It gets even better because he gives us a choice to choose wether or not we want that love to be wild. To choose if we want that love to radically change us and our hearts and make them more like his! I don't know about you but I want the wild love of Jesus to crash upon my heart like many waves crash upon a rock. I hope you want and choose the wild love waiting to be revealed to you to shape you more like him.

Desires To Worship
I long to be a true worshiper for Jesus. I long for my heart to be in love with him; to be more like his. I long for that passion to flame and grow. I simply... want a heart of worship. I have been praying this for awhile, especially before coming to offer my heart in worship. It is an essential desire of my heart. When I pray this and surrender my heart to his love and presence I am developing a heart of worship for him. I want this so he can take my heart and use it to reach others for him. You might ask why does he grant me that longing I pray for. Well it is quite simple and I will share two verses that speak to me the answer of why.
Phillipians 4:6 "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God"
Psalm 37:4-5 "Delight thyself also in the lord; and he shall give thee the the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust in him; and he shall bring it to pass."
Those two verses speak to me personally that he will give me the desire of my heart to be a true worshiper for him. He will do this because he loves me and because as Psalm 37 says "Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart." How do you delight yourself in the Lord? Well you must put him first, that means spending time with him. Read his word, pray, and worship as a daily thing. You can't just ask God to give you the desires of your heart if he isn't the key desire already. Also God will fulfill this desire because I pray to him to do it, I let my request made known to him. Once you start encountering deep worship and feel his love in a tangible way you are never the same, you start to take shape what he has destined you to be....his love, his bride. Soon you will be lost in his love and if you don't feel his love on a daily basis the day seems lost.
One prayer I usually pray before worshiping him goes like this "Jesus take my heart, make it more like yours. I want more of you and less of me. Make my heart a heart of worship for you lord," it changes every time I pray it but it goes like that usually. I always do it because it is a ever constant desire to go deeper in worship of him. To know more of his love!

My Definition of Worship
I will share what worship means to me, the past 3 years worship has become more and more important to my life. Well bottom line worshiping is your life. We were made to worship God, if not in songs but in everyday decisions. If you don't worship God then you will end up putting something before him. I love the way Louie Gigglio''s book "The Air I Breath" put what worship is..."worship is what we value most in our lives." I choose to value Jesus, the true giver of life.
"Praise and worship to me is just an intimate love affair with Jesus. The songs in themselves are useless unless they have Jesus's love and spirit moving through them to your very own heart. The heart to me is the center of worship, it is where we have the choice to give our hearts fully surrendered to Jesus. When you surrender your heart fully he invades with love each time you worship. This invasion of love transforms and mends your heart. You are made more like Jesus the more you worship with all your heart; your heart is literally taking his own shape. Worship is not to us but all to Jesus. We worship Jesus for all he has done, what he is doing, what he will do. When we worship solely him he opens floodgates of love from heaven and pours it all into us. Worship is surrendering your heart and giving it all to the greatest love affair in life."
This is what worship has become to me...an intimate one on one love affair with the one who showed the greatest love in history. He is the greatest love because he poured out all his blood for us as a ransom for us to live whole and new lives. His name is Jesus and he longs for your worship as father longs for child's admiration.
